~~~~~ MEMBERSHIP ~~~~~
The Persatuan shall consist of the following members:-
a) Membership is opened to girls who are Malaysian citizens irrespective of race and social status, and must be at least 21 years old.
b) Resident Members who shall be old girls, members and ex-members of the school staff living in the district of Larut, Matang & Selama.
c) Outstation Members who shall be old girls, members and ex-members of the school staff living outside the district of Larut, Matang & Selama.
d) Life Members who shall be old girls, members and ex-members of the school staff who donate at least RM100/= towards the Persatuan.
e) Associate Members who shall be old girls, teachers and ex-teachers of other Convent Schools. Associate Members shall not have the right to vote and to be appointed in the management committee.
f) Honorary Members who shall be persons not included in (b),(c) and (d) above who have rendered valuable and meritorious service to the Persatuan or to the School. Such membership shall be proposed by the Committee and approved at the Annual General Meeting. Honorary Members shall not have the right to vote and be appointed in the management committee.
g) No limit has been set to the number of members in the Persatuan and every application is regarded as ana individual.
h) Every members will enjoy all the privileges of the Persatuan unless otherwise stated in the Persatuan constitution.
~~~~~ ADMISSION OF MEMBERS ~~~~~
a) Each application must be proposed and seconded by any existing members and shall be forwarded to the Secretary of the Persatuan, who will submit it to the committe for approval. The committee has the right to reject or accept the application without stating reasons.
b) A candidate whose application has been approved shall pay all dues payable by her within two weeks of the date of the letter informing her of such approval. Failure to pay such dues within the said period shall render the admission null and void.
c) Old girls of the School who are still studying in other schools shall not be admitted as members.
d) No university or college students shall be members of the Persatuan without the prior approval from the Vice Chancellor of the concerned university or college.
~~~~~ ENTRANCE FEE AND SUBSCRIPTIONS ~~~~~
a) The registration fees and subscriptions are as follows:-
Registration fees shall be RM5.00 per application.
Subscription fees shall be RM24.00 per year or RM2.00 per month.
b) Life Members and Honorary Members shall pay once only a life subscription fee of RM100/=.
c) Subscription shall in all cases be due on the 1st day of January of each year.
d) Members who are admitted on or after the 1st day of July shall pay half of the amount of the annual subscription for that year.
e) If any member fails to pay up her annual subscription by the end of March in each year, the Treasurer shall send her a notice for payment. If such notice has been given, payment is not made by the end of June of the same year, she shall automatically cease to be a members.
f) Additional fees for certain matters for Persatuan activities shall be collected upon General Meeting of members. Any member who fails to pay such fees within the stipulated period, the amount shall be treated as arrears of annual subscription.
g) The committee reserves the right to adjust the registration fee on a member who wishes to reapply after losing her membership because of overdue fee payment.
