Connie Ong Gaik Sim
She is the Market Head for Bank of Singapore, Asia's Global Private Bank. Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, she was the Executive Director for Standard Chartered Private Bank. She joined Standard Chartered in June 2007 where she has served until 2016 when she joined Bank of Singapore. She previously has also served as the Chief Executive Officer to Alliance Capital Management Sdn Bhd (http://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2004/11/18/fund-managers-bullish-on-stock-market/) and the Chief Investment Officer to KLCS Asset Management Sdn Bhd (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/jaring.general/U1bg7m5C8Ss).
Ms Connie Ong holds a Bachelor of
Accountancy (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore and completed
her Chartered Accountancy training in Australia in 1990. In 2002, she became a
member of the US-based AIMR which awards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
She has vast experience in financial and investment sectors, having worked in
Price Waterhouse overseas and in TA Securities Bhd, Prudential Assurance and KLCS
Asset Management in Malaysia prior to her appointment as Executive Director of
ACAM in February 2004.
